The Statics - Rat City. Rip-Off Records LP. RIP OFF #005.

Finally, the first LP from Seattle's greatest band of pre-school garage punkers. Second LP and some demos and stuff to follow soon enough. Does anybody know what Zack Hoppenrath is up to these days? I hope he finally completed his collection of rare Billy Childish singles (or realised that, like painting the Forth Road Bridge, collecting Billy Childish vinyl is a never-ending task). Enjoy.

  1. Thanks again for posting these recordings. I remember when all these bands were so prolific and if I did not love the sound some of them got back then it is far superior to the sound that many current "garage rock" band get now. Back then each band had its own special "defects". Computer programs seem to give too many bands the same sound and personality gets lost. I must be getting old and cranky.

  4. Hello again,

Thank You for all the re-posts.
    Is there any possibility to re-post Statics' Super-electro 7'' & An Un-respected man 7''?
Do you also have ''Punk Rock And Roll" and "Vol. 1, The Beginning And The End" LP's?

    Best Regards

  6. All re-uppped. I have Punk Rock and Roll but haven't ripped it yet, and I don't have Vol 1, but would like to hear it for The Statics' cover of Loli and The Chones 'I Hate Your Guts' alone. Anybody else got it for sharing?
